The nick of time

To a theoretical physicist, the Planck time (about 5.39 times 10 -44 seconds) is the smallest unit of time that can be said to have any meaning. I’ve just realised what that meaning is.

The Planck time’s a blank time,
A quantum’s tiny tick.
As you might guess, there’s nothing less:
It is, in fact, time’s nick.
